Catching Up….and “For Women First” Magazine

Today’s post is a catchup message, to let you know what’s happening around here….

On Saturday we were waiting at the airport gate to board our flight home from Hawaii when my husband received a phone call that his dad had passed away. After a very long twelve hours we arrived back in Oklahoma City and went straight to his mom’s house. Since then we’ve been in a whirlwind of funeral arrangements, travel arrangements for family members, and catching up at home from being gone. Last night we looked through old photos to find pictures of grandpa with the kids. He was an example of quiet faithfulness and love, and he had an impact on many lives. Fred Siems was my father-in-law for 36 years and I loved him. Please remember our family in prayer this week.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the emotional spectrum, I’m featured in this week’s issue of “For Women First” magazine (circulation of 1.2 million). The article is about adrenal fatigue and my story is shared. I’m happy because it mentions Plexus as part of my recovery which is a true story. It’s pretty cool to open a major magazine and see yourself on a two-page spread….but then I still have to get the laundry done and today is homeschool co-op day. 🙂

Just wanted to let you know about that in case you want to pick up a copy! Here’s the cover of the issue:

I hope you have a really great week. We have a lot of family coming in for the viewing on Friday and the funeral on Saturday. It will be an emotional week, but a good time of loving on each other.

With love,
Charlotte Siems
