Post updated: [post_modified_date] Homemade vanilla ice cream is a warm-weather dessert that usually shows up for cookouts and Sunday School class parties. We made three freezers of homemade ice cream for a rehearsal dinner in a barn a few years ago and it was a big hit. We usually only make it 3-4 times a…
Are you tired? Are you dragging through your days? It reminds me of that old song “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” except the refrain is “Are You Tired Today?” We all know that there are many reasons for being tired: stress, hormones, overweight, pregnancy, motherhood, sleep deprivation, nutritional deficiencies, fungus overgrowth, blood sugar issues and more….
As a member of the blog team at HipHomeschoolMoms, I recently contributed this article. It was published in the “Encouragement” category, and it’s my hope that it will indeed encourage you–and maybe gently change your perspective! What comes to mind as you think about your upcoming homeschool week? Anticipation and joy? Dread and frustration? Many…

What a great post! Congratulations Caleb! Way to go!
I also want to say congrats to YOU and YOUR HUBBY! Look at the wonderful young man you and your husband raised! I am sure the Lord is beaming in pride! :0)
We are have completed kindergarten and first grade with our oldest daughter and pray to continue homeschooling year after year!! To sit here and think about our little girls one day graduating highschool, brings tears to my eyes (and we have many, many years to go)! But like you and others have mentioned – one day we will blink, and they will be grown! I’m sure I will be a crying fool the day each of our girls graduate! HA So for now I will be happy that our oldest is only 7! lol
Thanks for sharing such a special day with the rest of us! Congrats to all of you – you have a beautiful and inspiring family!!!

Very nice – love the napkin trick! Sometimes simple is best; looks like it was a nice time for all.
This is so beautiful! Congratulations to your son on his graduation! We are first year homeschoolers. This brings me so much hope for our children. I smiled as I read your post because it is all very touching. I know you were very proud of your son! 🙂 I love your blog!
Thank you, Jenn! He is now a sophomore in college and is doing very well! Stay tuned for another graduation next spring, lol. Best wishes to you and your family on your homeschool adventure!
